Now they are flinging cat guano and baby guano around over on the garbage forum...
I even saw a "miasma of excrement" on the Town Council forum...
I thought something was "stinking" in Summerfield...Maybe it's not BS and DC after all....

The Word of the Day for January 29 is:
persiflage \PER-suh-flahzh\ noun
: frivolous bantering talk : light raillery
Crackah's example sentence:
When the playground friends scatter to parts unknown, Crackah must engage in persiflage to fill the time until someone comes out to play.

Kids have possession of the remote at the moment. I have no clue what we are watching... Some guy singing about his dirty little secrets or something... ug.
I'm here, but I've been hanging out over on MSN waiting for folks to pass thru here...

http://www.msn.com... You know, the cable news show... network or whatever... They have lots of stuff there to keep my mind exercised.....
(I could pretend I was reading the news, but I was actually playing a game)
I was disappointed about the housewives too. Luckily Gray's Anatomy is a new one.... LOVE that show!!

I love Gray's Anatomy. Was sorry that the Housewives was a re run. Heard that it was great last week, but I missed it. Homework held me captive again. Bama, can you tell us via sports what happened last week on the housewives?
Mike I was so happy to see that you selected an orange as an avatar. Mrs. Mstewart would be so proud. Much better for you than bacon, or the hamburger that you know who chose.
Bama sorry I missed your 300 celebaration, I am racing you to 400.......Yes, that is a challenge.......... hahahhahhahaahh

Had some friends over for dinner about a month ago, we played Texas Hold 'Em. I got hooked. I am not ashamed. I know the first step to fixing a problem is admitting that you have one. OK I HAVE ONE. Have been playin THE on MSN. You don't have to play against anyone, but the computer doesn't get the whole bluffing thing. I am good at bluffing, don't you know......
So I go to this party last night and walk in with 6 or so of my friends, no music playing or nothing..... thought that was odd. Walk over to the table and check out what everybody is doing, and they are playin Texas Hold Em. I think I will join in. I am experienced and all, I played once. I can BS (not Becky Strickland, but the other BS, with the best of them) Won all the chips when I played and had the neighbors over . I sit down and realize that all the people at the table are deaf. One of those things that makes you go hummm. Well that brings an entire new meaning to the game. Talk about people being able to read your face. That is what they do. I grab a hat off the hat rack that I saw when I came in and asked this guy for his sunglasses. Sat there and played and couldn't have done worse if I had tried. Thank goodness I wasn't playin' for real money.... These guys were good. The bad thing was that they were talking amongst themselves and they were probably sayin' stuff like she stinks, or lets take all of her chips, we will dived them with each other. OK, lets face it, I would have never known it! They could have been saying all kinds of stuff like "what did she think when she went out of the house wearing that shirt" "doesn't she have friends to tell he that hairstyle isn't in" "she could go to the gym and she wouldn't have that tummy problem" OK maybe they were nice, but I just cannot be sure.
The really cool thing about it was that I learned some interesting things about how they were communicating with each other. It was fun to try to figure out what they were saying. They tried really hard to include mea nd to make me understand what they were saying. The really cool thing about it was that they didn't treat me like I was "different" I was the odd person in the bunch and they were so kind, and made me feel like I was at home.
One thing that I have wanted to know how to do is to shuffle the chips like they do on TV. Guess what, I saw a guy doing it and asked him to show me how. He could not speak, but he taught me. He did tell me that I would need to practice for a LOOONNNGGGG time. He held his hands out symbolizing long, to indicate to me that i needed to practice. That was his nice way of telling me that I was not as good as he was. It made me smile and want to try harder. It was magical that I could understand him and that the could teach me something although we could not communicate verbally.
Anyway, just wanted to share and say that it was a great night. I experienced something that brought a lot of joy to my life and taught me that communication amongst people can come in different ways and that we should appreciate all of the various ways that people communicate with one another. It alsoreminded me to be thankful for what we have and to not always take things for granted.
