We can cry on each others' shoulders, Kris!

They had a good season and a GREAT post-season -- until today!!! :(:(

FYI -- With 2 minutes remaining in the game -- 34-14

No I did not mosh, but the concert was amazing. I was on a one way street to having a great night. Steven Tyler is F.i.n.e. , he is an old geezer but not as old as my sister. He (Steven) is drop dead gorgeous. I too celebrated a birthday this weekend, and the hubby did what it takes to make it a great birthday. He wanted us to come together with friends and have a good time. I was wearing the three mile smile. All four of the little Lackas were upset that we were going and they were not. Yeah right cry me a river they are spoiled. My step daughter said as were riding along in the car you are an old lady (which I am not, BTW) I looked at her and said "this old lady is going to Aerosmith tonight". She really got under my skin with that comment. Dream on if you think you could get a ticket in this lifetime.

Well I am a little older, and I thought do I really want to get back in the saddle again with going to a concert? Well yeah, are you crazy. I thought living on the edge would be fun, slapped on my gypsy boots and headed out.

I don't want to miss a thing so we hop in the minivan, yeah I said minivan with the friends I put a cd in and tell my buddy just push play. The little Lackas were at home in need of an attitude adjustment.

The concert rocked it was a little helter skelter gettin in and out of the place, but well worth it. This was definitely not the same old song and dance. We danced did the rattlesnake shake yelled like we were about 18 (none of us are) It was such a sweet emotion being there.

Concert was over, we decide to hit the airport. We drive out there like we are in a rocket 88. You don't have to say it, my sister already told me that it was a teeny bopper kinda thing to do. The hubby has a few connections at the airport, so he called and found out where their planes were. We knew we wouldn't be able to get past the gate, we were on the other side of the fence but knew we would be close enough for pictures. We had a babysitter, how often do we get out, didn't want to go home yet. So we get there and hop out of the van and are waiting, we see them board the planes. Well a little mazda or something rides in, yeah it was them. No limo or anything to announce to the fans that they had arrived. (well there were only 4 fans) everyone else was at PTI.

We take a couple of cool pictures and the the security people come walking towards us. I said to the hubby and friends "hey guys, Janie's got a gun" Well it was a man, but his name could have been Janie. I thought {the jig is up}, And that we could kiss our past goodbye. We could have said we were just out walking the dog, but they knew we were walking on danger street. I am starting to walk this way back to the van. The rent a cop said, about the camera, lay it down. I am thinking that we are going to be arrested and calling the little Lackas from the south station singing the milk cow blues with a monkey on my back. {no real monkey on the back, the song title just fit well here}. At this point little Lackas would have said just write me a letter you are on a one way street, they were still ticked. Shame shame shame.

It all worked out, Steven Tyler was singing to me. Yeah I know, dream on to you too.

Crackah, sorry about the t-shirt, didn't get you one, it didn't happen for me either.  Remember when t-shirts were 10.00, well they are 35.00 at a concert now.  Im down  with people making money and everything, but that is a little much.

Macca, you are right. That's the attitude! Younger McNeill said shem was not going to be wearing Panther-wear to school this week and I said, "well what kind of fan does that make you? We've watched every single game this season, we're not one of those fair-weather fans!"

Kris I am so sorry, I love the Panthers too.  Bama knows I am more of a baseball fan, but I still want our hometown to win with football.  I have a little Lacka fan  here who has been wearing a Delhomme jersey all day.  UGH life is tough for him.  He sleeps in the jersey during F-ball season.  He is crushed.  Hope you are crying happy tears over the concert.

Kris, I know you are down in the dumps and all, but could you muster up a party for my birthday??  I am jealous that Crackah had quite the celebration.  It doesn't have to be today or anything, but within the next couple of days would be nice....

Oh, Lacka! I feel like a heel. I'll call in the maid and the party planner tout de suite :D

"Down in the Dumps": This and the equally common phrase "got the blues" means to be sad or depressed. One of the great pyramid-building pharaohs of ancient Egypt was stricken with what we now call a nervous breakdown. He experienced intense melancholia and died when he was unable to fight it off. His name was Dumpos. After his death, people suffering from melancholia were said to be "down with Dumpos's disease."

Shame on You  Lacka!!!  I might have to Draw the Line with you tryin' to horn in on my BD Celebration, but I guess I'll Let it Slide this time....

Glad to hear you had a good time at the concert, Can NOT believe you went Trip Hoppin' out to the airport to look at Steven and the boys though.... I am surprised you didn't get the hubby to Get a Grip on those legs and throw you Full Circle, Head first, to The Other Side of the fence so you could snap that photograph.

I'm also surprised that when you were talking about that security guard, you know, "Janie's got a gun" you didn't say it was because Dude Looks Like a Lady.

Anyway, I am Sick as a Dog that the Panthers lost and I am sorry that you all are Cryin because of it.  I would have much rather come on here and seen a Three Mile Smile.  I would like to say that it is Nobody's Fault, but I am afraid that Somebody is at fault and he eats a lot of BoJangles.... Doesn't matter that folks think he's F.I.N.E.

I gotta quit this.  I don't know HOW Lacka does it... She will Let the Music do the Talking and uses all those Aerosmith song titles in her postings... it seems so natural when she does it....

Macca... I guess we could discuss theme parks on that Mouse to the South forum... nothin much has been posted there and I like that title....

Perhaps we could entice Stonefree (who started that thread) to join us here too!

Gotta tell ya Kris.. the French is impressive!  I always thought it was toot sweet!  And who would have thought there was history behind being down in the dumps!  Cool!
