Gonna let everyone in on my wife and I's favorite.MAHI'S. It is located on lawndale not far from GDS. Absolutely the best seafood I've ever had. alittle pricey, but you also have live music and magic. crab cakes, swordfish, tuna steaks, crab legs, and quite possibly my new favorite:jamican Mahi Mahi. also stuffed tiger shrimp, and scallops in sauce and pasta.key lime pie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am hungry now,see you all later.

Oh and next time you are at Mahi's, stop by Golden Pizza for a pie. Pepperoni is good. Very good NY style pizza. Pretty cheap too.

Honestly, I haven't been there since Sept/Oct time frame, so don't know what's there today. If he's still there, you'll need to slide him a token (ie $10 - 20) for the tricks, you won't be disappointed.
He had me lick an envelope, seal it shut, put on table in front of me. Had me sign my name to a card (black felt tip pen), put it in his shirt pocket, had a #2 pencil in his hand, tapped the envelope with the eraser end, had me open it, the signed card was in the envelope. Short of witch craft, I don't know how he did it.
Another (non card) trick, had my wife drop her wedding ring in a small bag & "pull string" it shut. put it on the table. He reached in his back pocket, pulled out a ring of keys, her wedding ring was on the key ring.
The guy is a whiz at "hand quicker than they eye"

FYI -- Rick Allred has performed at all three of the Senior Bashes that NWHS has held so far. These are those post-graduation parties they have as a drug/alcohol-free alternative. He doesn't do the music stuff, just magic. I've been to all three and still love to watch him -- and to watch the kids' reactions to him.

was real good. It is owned and ran by Chef Michael ( he use to be at Belews Creek, ran an ad in the NWO as Kitchen assistant)
Its worth the drive....on Ayersville Rd just past Main St
Beautiful building, artist painted everything inside

I had lunch this week at Laddies & Dukes. It was delicious as always. Service was excellent. I had a reuben sandwich - sandwiches come with a side (several to choose from) - I got their homemade chips with ranch dressing - they are the best I've ever tasted!
It's been a while since I ate dinner there but everything I've ever had for dinner there was good - chicken, beef, pasta.
They do have that Shepherd's Pie thing on the menu - authentic British dish - this is for folks who like to mix their entire meal into their mashed potatoes - yuuuuuuuuuuuck!

Had breakfast at the cafe at Lake Brandt and Hwy 150 a couple of days ago. Good, plain food. Homemade soup at lunch is very good. I think they also have a daily special for lunch and in the evening. Absolutely the cleanest place you can imagine. Lots of "table talk", too, not only with customers but with owners and staff.

Was at Laddie and Dukes tonight and it was super! Try the Oriental Chicken Salad with peanut dressing. It was as good as it looked. They are always generous with the dressingsand sauces so you might want it on the side. The menu has been upgraded. Service was great
