Getting away from politics for a minute to comment on the tragic bridge collapse. I heard on the news tonight (CNN) that there are 70,000 to 80,000 bridges in the US that are structurally unsound. First, I wondered how they found this information so quickly. Maybe there's a data base somewhere that keeps these kinds of records. Second, I will be looking for a large signs with flashing lights that tell me when a bridge is on this list.
