I would love to help the kids with painting.  I might need to research the best colors but I bet someone with parks or conservation would know.  I think it is important to teach the little ones how to take care of what we have.  Where in the world is Scuba Jane, bet she would know?

Bird & bat house kits... great idea. Home Depot is another good thought. The option of a take home kit also makes sense, as it offers an easy way for families to participate if they don’t have the time to build the box during the event. This gets more kits into the children's homes and hands. Adding information about the animal, the box they are building and the animal’s habitat would be another plus for the child and easy to do. You can never go wrong by adding educational information for children to learn by.

Easy + Educational + Environmental awareness + Community involvement = A Great Idea!
