Having observed the school board and superintendents come and go (Steve I have had a lot of mile stone birthdays) I find it interesting that these sups always move on to much bigger systems. Look at the one who is or was, not sure, up in Maryland in their highest achieving school system and was knocking their socks off. Grier came from a much smaller system to Guilford County. Was my observation that there were not a whole lot of viable candidates when he was hired. Now he is being considered for the largest system in NC.
I personally think the county/ school board/voters have to take a large amount of responsibility for what has happened over the years in our school system. The superintendents have all seemed to make a name for themselves dealing with our difficult situation and move on to bigger and better.
Not sure what the solution is. The size of the school system and the way the funding is set up makes it very difficult for those of us who care to make any difference what so ever. If you confront the school board "Oh its not our fault its the county's" and vice versa.
I guess all I am saying Cracker is be careful what you ask for!!

haha GO LSU. oh and dont give me that crap about NC teams or whatever. If State and Bama are out, then I dont want to hear no lip from you dookers or tarholes for the next year anyway. Even after they lost, tarheel fans were still calling themselves "defending national champions" even though they obviously weren't interested in defending anything. hahahah.

We appreciate those words of wisdom! I don't know what the solution is, but you are definitely right! Sometimes we should be careful what we wish for..... Wasn't it Garth who said that sometime's God's greatest gift is unanswered prayers? (Although it is hard to believe that could be true in this case! That's probably true in most cases! )

Good morning... uh afternoon everybody.
Ritz Bits woke up with strep throat again today so I had to take her to the doctor, get meds, and a milkshake and all that good stuff. Be glad when summer gets here.
Jane, I know what you mean about Grier... our not so superintendents have seemed to get progressivly worse with each one. So should I hope that he stays or hope that we get lucky and get a super who really is super??
Bama... I really miss you when you are away so much.
It has come to my attention that SMS's BD is actually on the 28th but he was SO SPECIAL that he deserved a 4 day celebration so we will be partying every day until then. OK?
Hope you all read the classified To SMS from all of us in today's NWO!

CRACKAH... Sorry Ritz Bitz is sick again.... It sure seems there has been a lot of sickness in our schools this winter... Those bugs just keep recirculating once they get started.
I guess we could blame that on Dr. Grief too....❤❤❤

Ohhhhhh! Are they squares???? My original ones are all lines to me now, so I'm using fat hearts from the new system because I can see them -- but you can't!!! I'm be SOOOOOO glad when the bugs are out of this system and I can access it my regular way!!!!❚❚❚

So, I saw in the NW Observer today that there are not one but TWO area fire departments selling barbecue tomorrow!!! Stokesdale and Oak Ridge!! And we all know how good that BBQ is!!! AND to raise $$$$ for a good cause! Let's all go out and support 'em!!!❀❀❀
