What Stamey's didn't donate BBQ? Did you call all of their locations?
I will be eating Smokey Bones, Bo Hogs, Fuzzy's, Country BBQ, Bernies, Food Lion, and Dominoes. I just might have to leave Stamey's alone. So sad.

The full moon was on Tuedsay, you know...clear as snow two nights in a row and tonight...beautifully golden... full moons always make folk react...differently
Full Worm Moon
" As the temperature begins to warm and the ground begins to thaw, earthworm casts appear, heralding the return of the robins. The more northern tribes knew this Moon as the Full Crow Moon, when the cawing of crows signaled the end of winter; or the Full Crust Moon, because the snow cover becomes crusted from thawing by day and freezing at night. The Full Sap Moon, marking the time of tapping maple trees, is another variation. To the settlers, it was also known as the Lenten Moon, and was considered to be the last full Moon of winter."
( from http://www.farmersalmanac.com/astronomy/fullmoonnames.html )
anyone wanna make a....crack...about the transition from naturalists to full moons? Last edited on Mar 17th, 2006 02:37 am by Aeolius

Think I'll sidestep that one....♥♥♥
The full moon may explain this.... The spoose has a small pond out front with plants and goldfish. In the past we had a nice bullfrog but he's been gone for some time. I was heading out Tuesday night and something caught my eye. On closer inspection I noted 4 frogs in the water and lots of loud croaking. We heard them throughout the evening.... but haven't seen them since, although there are lots of eggs in the water now! ♥♥♥
BTW, AEOLIUS! Thank you once again for sharing more interesting facts! I'm sure the little ones will love knowing about the different kinds of moons now!!!♥♥♥

I'm back and I'm tired.
What a wonderful time we had!!!
What a TERRIFIC group of kids showed up: SYC kids, Mrs. Roberts Leadership Class from NW and G.S. Troop 631.... so proud of them all!
Everyone worked their fannies off and had a good time as well.
Lots of familiar around town faces showed up for dinner... Mayor Mark Brown, TC member Bob Williams, School Board member, Darlene Garrett, Town Administrator Michael Brandt and Town Clerk Dianne Laughlin, Debra Mauser, Candidate for County Commissioner Michael Garrett, Tammy Welborne, Gary and Maggie Houston, LACKA and Scuba Jane even showed up with some of her world renowned Blondie Desserts! YUM YUM! Thanks to all these folks and all the others who came and showed their support!!
The DJ, Mike Lamb donated his time and ya'll be sure to call him if you ever need a DJ. Tell him the SYC sent ya. He MAKES a party a party! What a blast!
Oh! And I did let them eat the slaw.
NITE!

Hey Macca. I didn't see you here. Sorry!
They did have a great turnout. I was very pleased.
I think they made a pretty nice chunk of change for St. Jude as well.
OH! Forgot to mention that Republic Waste heard about the dinner on the Radio and called to make a nice donation.... Made me feel better about paying that bill....
Felt like they deserved a mention since they took the initiative to call...
