I have decided that for every important post I will do a bit of trivia.
Winnie the Pooh
In WWI troops were being transported from Winnipeg to Europe. Along the way a lieutenant bought a black bear cub from a hunter and named it Winnie after his hometown, Winnipeg.
Winnie accompanied the Brigade as their mascot and when they were in battle, Winnie would be cared for by the London Zoo. This is where Christopher Robin, A.A. Milne's son, met and fell in love with Winnie. The London Zoo became Winnie's home and Christopher Robin would visit often and enjoyed playing in the cage with the bear.
A.A. Milne began to write stories about Christopher Robin, and Winnie.

Yes, I believe we have! Maybe from Lacka? Skiddles? (I hope they don't get upset with us b/c we didn't remember ....)
