That Kris is somethin' all right, Crackah. She can throw a party faster'n Mammy can throw a rolly pin at Pappy's bald pate.
I see you done played hooky from the meetin's too. Pappy's gonna try an' stay awake fer awhile and see if anybody's got anything good to report.
If'n I cain't, I reckon I can palaver with some talkin' critter in the mornin'. The birds are 'specially good at tellin' what went on las' night.
