I seem to remember we did this last year, but it's worth doing again.

As you drive around town(s), take note of the locations of especially nice Christmas lights, and tell folks about them, so we can all enjoy.

The Forestry Systems house 2 doors up from Summerfield's Town hall is decorated to the hilt already and will KNOCK your socks off!

It is second only to Jim Flynt's display on 68 between Stokesdale and Oak Ridge!

For those willing to travel just a few miles up the highway, here is a home/farm worth checking out. Please note that the information below is courtesy of Wikipedia. Casville, NC is about 45 minutes from the Northwest area.

Casville is an unincorporated community in Caswell County, North Carolina at the crossroads of US 158 and Ashland Rd/Park Springs Rd.

Every winter Caswell residents Bill and Gloria Gaither Paschal decorate their yard and cabins with over a million Christmas lights (approximately 1,040,000 lights in 2004) and miscellaneous decorations. The extravaganza has attracted local and national attention; a news special was even featured on the Fox News Channel in 2005. Gospel music is played throughout the entire display to convey messages of hope and redemption. The attraction is open to the local public and is free of charge; donations help fund the Paschals' approximate $10,000 electric bill generated by the light show. The couple says they "do it for Jesus because he's the reason for the season."

Well, you forgot to mention that Pappy hangs out up there in Caswell County Mr. Jim! ;)

From the article:

Inside the train station building is an “old-timey” scene, Leon said, complete with a hillbilly tilting back a jug....

Pappy in Caswell County? A hillbilly? Tilting back a jug? An old timey scene?

Is this is vision of Christmas Past or Christmas Present? (We better go ask Ebeneezer quick!)

Now there's a scene I would like to put up on my roof in lights! hee hee

On a smaller scale of those already mentioned.  Come down 150W in Summerfield and the first house, on the left  in Somersby is just beautiful.... all those red and white lights!

A very unusual and beautiful sight: go down Pleasant Ridge Road towards 68, turn right onto White Blossom, then turn right onto Faye Drive.  If I remember correctly it's the first house on the left.  You can't miss this one even from a distance you are asking "what is it"? Just look up in their trees and you will see a forest of lights.  The homeowner has placed lighted balls way up high in the trees, all around the house.

Keep it going here, guys. We're going to print a list in our paper the next two weeks and we need your help in telling us where all the beautiful, tacky or interesting decorations are located.

Sandra, I will get in gear and post the best decorated homes in the Stokesdale area no later than tomorrow evening (I'll send you an email as well). I had a nice list of decorated homes but several folks decided to decorate this past weekend, and I need to update locations and addresses.

For those of you who drove by my house after the Stokesdale Tree Lighting, I only had up about 35,000 lights then, and as of this afternoon, I now have up 100,000 lights and expect to be finally finished by tomorrow. Please drive by again as your holiday time allows.

Crackah, I knew you were just being playful and hope you didn't take my comments as anything more than humor as well.
