I hope these aren't the "bearproof overalls!"

Or maybe these were regular overalls before the bear got 'em!!

The key to surviving a bear attack is rather simple: you just have to be able to run faster than the fellow beside of you.

So I guess the trick is to make sure you don't go out walking where there might be a bear with anyone you care about!! :D:shock:

They look more like 80 proof to me! That might be the feller you wanna go walkin' with, Macca! If the sight o' them britches don't scare the bears off, at least you might stand a good chance o' outrunnin' that feller. He looks like he takes his pain med'cine at reg'lar intervals, too, should it come to that. Hee hee!

My neighbors on Ellisboro Rd say that several people on Ellisboro and Gideon Grove roads saw the big one one afternoon recently. Just hearsay, but for what its worth. I'm still gonna wear my bearproof overalls when I go out.

Okay.... Got any extra "bearproof overalls"?

Any ideas what we are to do if we see a bear? I've heard you shouldn't run, and that they can climb trees, so what should you do if the bear sees you???
Thanks possum, lets keep those wild animal and bear reports comming

We live on Ellisboro Rd in Rockingham County and my wife claims to have seen a bear 2 nights in a row at about 3-4 am about a week or so ago when she was taking our dog out. I still don't think I believe her but maybe I will give it some thought now.

She did claim to see a coon in our living room one night when there obviously was nothing in there. -No Pappy she has not been in the sauce. hahah

bama -- Shame on you for not believing your wife! You'd feel AWFUL if something happened to her or your dog! NOW you need to show her how much you believe her by taking the dog for a walk yourself!!

So, what was the critter in the living room??? Cat?? Stuffed animal?? Too much spicy food???

A coon in the living room???  That is sooooo funny!

Macca, I was also gonna suggest that bama give Mrs. bama a break and take that pooch out bear huntin' himself!

Maybe he should just buy her a video camera... that's how I proved that the deer were eatin' our maters and there was a hawk stalkin' the chickens from the swingset....

James, that's a mighty handsome Corgi you got there.... At first glance, I thought you'd captured a photo of one of those rabid foxes!
