Mike, is there a way that those wishing to show support for our troops can help out by sending a care package over there? Can you share details so we can help?

Jim if you send a package over with no name on it, then most the time it goes to the bases. The soldiers at the outpost only go back to the base about once a month to get a shower (no running water at a outpost) and some cooked food. We send the packages to our son who will past them out to his buddies. They share everything at a outpost.....

Morning All!! It is nasty hot out this morning. The air is so heavy. The days are certainly getting shorter though. I fell asleep before the weather last night but Eric was hinting that this weather was going to change pretty significantly long range. It is getting closer to fall and it is 8/9/07 so the dog days should be winding down for the year. A little rain would certainly be nice. Stay cool and have a good day.

Recipe for a good morning
1- Get one of Mammy biscuits (make sure Pappy is still asleep)
2-Chase one of Jane's chicks (they are fast might need to have oxygen nearby)
3-Get 1, ok 2lbs of bacon out of fridge (make sure wife is not home)
4-Wrap bacon around chicks....oops take bacon off and remove feathers first
5-Drop bacon wrap chick into deep fat fryer
6-Place on Mammy's biscuit add salt if you can find where wife has hide it
7-Eat fast in case Pappy is now awake
8-Repeat until your full....ok until your caught

Mr Mike, you cain't fry up bacon an' expect ol' Pappy to stay asleep. My mouth would be open 'fore my eyeballs were. Hee hee!

Mr. Mike stick to bacon. I will let the pig farmers protect their pigs. I now have two highly trained, black belt roosters who will immediately peck your ankles until they bleed if you enter their pen. I have several pictures posted of suspected chicken eaters so they know who you are!! Beware!!!

Jane last week when Pappy was replacing the north still, I mean the north medic'ine making machine. He made me some ankle protectors out of the old metal. I think he fought a few roosters in his time. They work real well....better count them chicks
I'm also wearing a Col. Sanders mask.....

I would think you'd have more luck if you were to dress up like something else -- maybe Ronald McDonald or the Burger King. If you wear a Col. Sanders mask, they'll know you're looking for them, and any chicken who watches any TV at all knows that those cows in the commercials are in cahoots with Chick-fil-a, so don't put on one of those cow costumes.

Cow costumes!! That's it! That's how we get into the cow pasture and then get the cows to gather round in a circle!
Good thing you can't give me an "off topic" huh??
Actually, Sandra, I was thinking Mr. Mike might have more luck with the chickens if he'd dress up so he looked like JANE!!
