What in the world were you afraid of Steve-O???  We're a docile group!!!

I, believe it or not, have no opinion on this subject .

Don't really care. I guess there's less scrolling involved with 15 ppp (posts per page) but then again, less clicking back and forth between pages with 20 ppp.

I'll go with the majority on this one. :D

Didn't they use to wait until after Halloween at least to start selling Christmas merchandise back when we were kids?

Why, Jimbo! Whatever do you mean?? We's all just "spring chickens" here! NONE OF US would remember Christmas merchandise going on sale after Halloween!!!:D ♥♥♥

Wonders never cease I guess. I was over at the Lowes store in K-ville this afternoon, and Lo and Behold, they already have the Christmas lights and decorations displays up and for sale. And here it is still September.

Does this mean we should start putting up Christmas lights anytime soon?

So, did ya buy lots of lights for all those trees you planted????:D:D ♥♥♥

Since we are a democratic group of opinionated......................er, uh, individuals, I thought I would ask a simple question........just to stir things up, and see what the group had to say.

You might remember, some time back, there were around 20 postings per page.

At some point, it was reduced, to where it is now 15 postings per page.

Does everybody like it as is, or would it be better if each page were lengthened to 20 or more postings per page?   ..............it was tempting to start a topic for this subject, but I was afraid of the comments it might generate.

Blog onward.................

Sorry to disappoint, Steve-o!!! Not nearly controversial enough!!!:D:shock:

No opinion here either!! Curious, though.... Why was the change made? ♥♥♥

I know I'm the big McCartney fan here, but I read an EXCELLENT interview with him from The Sunday Times (London). You can find it at http://www.timesonline.co.uk Talks about writing songs, working with Lennon, the Beatles', Cirque du Soleil show, etc. It is an effort to promote the new album, of course, but the writer (an obvious fan) does a great job!

There is another story about how he has been working on this for 8 years... Was working on it when Linda (first wife) died and just lost focus for a couple of years... (Editor's comment: And then, cue the horror film music.... he met.) ♥♥♥

Macca, the bad news is that I didn't. I was actually looking at landscape materials yesterday.

But the good news is that I always buy Christmas lights when they go on sale AFTER Christmas, and last year actually bought around 35,000 lights (350 sets) for as little as 25 cents per set. So there are more than enough to light all the trees in the Stokesdale Arboretum and we will be planting a lot of arborvitae (Christmas trees) as well as holly (plus some other trees and shrubs) in late October so we can have them all decorated and lit up just in time for this year's Stokesdale Christmas parade. If ya' wanna help let us know!

It wasn't that I was all that prescient after Christmas last year as much as I just couldn't resist such bargains. Plus every year I decorate and light up a couple of hundred Christmas trees every year here on the farm on Highway 68 (between Dawn Acres and Dorsett Downs). This year's display should/will be more than twice as large as last year's with around 75,000 lights. (By comparison, Tanglewood has over a million lights).

Mornin'!

Me an' Juan Valdez are tryin' to catch up this mornin'.

Pappy don't care so much how many posts per page, Steve, just so's there's posts. It seems fine right now.

Christmas before Hallyween? Now there's a controversy fer ya. That just ain't right. Christmas ain't about money. The chicken says, "If you put a price on it, it becomes worthless. And once it becomes worthless, you can't afford it."

Besides, this jolly fat man's gonna need all the days before Christmas he can get to win the lottery in. Hee hee!

The chicken also says, "The walrus is Paul."

Profound Pappy. Downright profound.

That thar chicken is simply omniscient. (Are you sure that bird didn't go to Chapel Hill?)

I guess that's why they say you can't put a price on friendship.

Not sure there even is a reason Macca.

It was at the same time the forum postings were changed (reversed), and that one didn't go over well.

Apparently this setting just wasn't changed back to the original.  Since all seem pretty ambivalent to it, I'll leave it at 15.
