I didn't think the people around here would ever get off the phone, they act like I have nothing better to do. And look, now I will never catch up to Lacka.
Oh well, I will just have to be satisfied with my assistance in the 10K.

onthecorner.........we're happy with all contributions, just keep clickin'. Keep them teenagers off the phone or we'll never hear from you again.
Thanks Crackah for the suggestion, I'll give it some more thought too. Some things will need a sliding scale, ie bicycles. I start out patient, but after about 3 minutes, I'm escalatin'.

So Steve... I've been wondering something for a while...
Since back in the early days when Patti said something about someone accusing a town council candidate of being a moderator...
How come below your name you are listed as a moderator?
Does admin. appoint people to be moderators (because of their wisdom) or do you have to go through a ceremony similar to the "Knighting" ceremonies over there in London?
Maybe it's just a souvenier you picked up in Mexico??
FYI - I am not asking because I want to take your job or anything... Just curious. In fact, I would have decline such an honor if I were to be asked, because I have to retain my right to speak my hotheaded little feeble mind, but I was wondering......

I DID IT !!!!!!!
It may haven taken hours t get it done but I have succeeded. I found a avatar and even had to shrink the darn thing to get it to fit but I DID IT!!!
I am so proud of myself and I did it without the aide of a teenager
I have locked them all in their rooms without the phone so I could have quality time on the computer
I will never catch up.... type, type, type, click, click, click

Fair Enough (Answering Cracker's question about 10 back)
Patti & Sandra have a newspaper to run, which is 3 full time jobs for 2 people. The Forum became a 4th full time job, staying on top of postings, make sure all were "G" rated.
I agreed to be a moderator for Summerfield postings in the Forum infancy. However, we were all still learning about how the Forum software performed, ie even when I post in other Forums, it still shows up as me being a moderator (not what we want, not sure how to fix it). At the time, it was more important to launch the forum and learn how folks would receive it and use it, than to know every bell & whistle it had. Heck, I think it's fine the way it is.
Someday as the Forum matures, it may grow to having a moderator for each town, or even for each posting (you create it, you moderate it). A moderator needs to be the "voice of reason", from what I've experienced, that applies to nearly all who post here. Y'all are a wonderful group of people, my "new friends who I haven't met yet".
There have been no major abuses of the Forum I know of, so the moderator role doesn't have to turn me into the Maytag repairman. You guys are too much fun (stay on topic with MAAN, yeah right !!!!).
Did I answer your question?
