OK.. here's an update from Crackah's Kitchen
Ice Cream Bread
1 1/2 cups Self Rising Flour
2 cups Ice Cream, softened
Preheat oven to 350. Stir together ALL ingredients just until flour is moistened. Put in greased and floured loaf pan and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
I kid you not, it worked!!! It was pretty good too! Gotta warn ya... It smells like cake, but tastes like bread. Sort of the consistency of cornbread without the cornmeal-y taste..... Makes you think your nose and your tastebuds aren't getting along or something....You gotta try it. I am doing flavors next....This time I did Vanilla... I am thinking chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips or Strawberry Ice Cream... oh the possibilities are endless!!!!!!
OK, So I went to the store today and bought some "Banana Split" sundae ice cream and made this bread. Interesting.... It rose just like loaves of bread usually do and looks like a loaf of bread. Kind of a cake consistency but tastes more like bread. I think next I'll try some kind of chocolate flavor, maybe with nuts.... Has anyone else tried this with a different ice cream flavor?
Didn't want to do chocolate this time b/c I also baked KRIS's Darn Good Chocolate Cake! I found Devil's Food flavor pudding mix and used that. It's still cooling, but smells really good and there was a tiny piece that dropped off -- tastes really rich and chocolate-y! Will ice it later and tell you how it is -- I'm sure it will be wonderful!!! ♥♥♥

....Oh and everyone going out to buy roses for next week- I think it would be cheaper to fill up a few car fulls of gas.
To which MIKE responded that he didn't think roses cost $200 per dozen b/c it would take $200 to fill his truck twice. And then BAMA wrote: "The estimate I received was $Texas for 1 dozen."
Well, then CRACKAH responded: (after explaining that himer didn't care for a vase full of useless future weeds) "I just take $Texas and go on a shopping spree."
I embellished a little by adding a couple more $$ in front of Texas....

Lacka wrote: Wait a minute, The hubby brings flowers every week, so if he brought them on Valentine's day it would be, well we will say, just not a good thing. OK Super Moderator Steve taught me a lot at Christmas about being disappointed and all, but so did Crackah, Crackah said to just tell him what you want. Really my hubby is sweet all year long, breakfast in bed, and an early night of sleeping when he takes care of the Little Lackas, warming up my car in the am when it is cold outside. I know sometimes you just want a good story to share with the girls. Girls love to brag to their friends about how sweet their hubbys are. Your girl will want the best story to share with her friends on Valentine's Day. Better get workin' on it now forum fellows. You do not have to spend a lot of money. I can come up with great suggestions if any of you guys need help, just let me know....
GAG!

Hee hee! Pappy's missed a lot tonight, but I caught this gem. Macca's gettin' wild tonight! Good one, Macca.
Lookin' like it's mostly rain comin' our way. Gonna be cold, wet an' miserable this weekend. We'll hafta work on them dance steps. Somebody donate to Mike's flower fund so he can go home soon!
Mammy, I'll cut the load o' wood for you this Valentine's, if you'll start the chainsaw for me! Even though my artharitis has got me in a double suplex and rhumatiz has settled in my bones like a flock o' buzzards in a dead pine tree and carpal tunnel has opened a 6-lane expressway through both arms, I'll do it for you, Mammy. An' if that ol' chainsaw won't start, I'll wrastle 3 or 4 o' them park beavers down an' feed em' Pappy's blend coffee till that caffiene four-barrel kicks in an' their jaws start a-chawin' through them hick'ry logs like Pappy's chopppers through a bacon and egg biscuit.
Good night, you young'uns. Pappy's plum tuckered out.

Here ya go boys - gotcha covered for valentine's day:
A Redneck Valentine
Kudzu is green,
my dog's name is Blue
And I'm so lucky
to have a sweet thang like you.
Yore hair is like cornsilk
a-flapping in the breeze.
Softer than Blue's
And without all them fleas.
You move like the bass,
Which excite me in May.
You ain't got no scales
But I luv you anyway.
You're as graceful as okry
Jist a-dancin' in the pan.
Yo're as fragrant as SunDrop
Right out of the can.
You have all yore teeth,
For which I am proud;
I hold my head high
When we're in a crowd.
On special occasions,
When you shave yore armpits,
Well, I'm in hawg heaven,
I'm plumb outta my wits.
Still them fellers at work
They all want to know,
What I did to deserve
Such a purty, young doe.
Like a good roll of duct tape
Yo're there fer yore man,
To patch up life's troubles
And stick 'em in the can.
Yo're as strong as a four-wheeler
Racin' through the mud,
Yet fragile as that sanger
Named Naomi Judd.
Yo're as cute as a junebug
A-buzzin' overhead.
You ain't mean like no fire ant
Upon which I oft' tread.
Cut from the best pattern
Like a flannel shirt of plaid,
You sparked up my life
Like a Rattletrap shad.
When you hold me real tight
Like a padded gunrack,
My life is complete;
Ain't nuttin' I lack.
Yore complexion, it's perfection,
Like the best vinyl sidin'.
Despite all the years,
Yore age, it keeps hidin'.
And when you get old
Like a '57 Chevy,
Won't put you on blocks
And let grass grow up heavy.
Me 'n' you's like a Moon Pie
With a RC cold drank,
We go together
Like a skunk goes with stank.
Some men, they buy chocolate
For Valentine's Day;
They git it at Wal-Mart,
It's romantic that way.
Some men git roses
On that special day
From the cooler at Kroger.
"That's impressive," I say.
Some men buy fine diamonds
From a flea market booth.
"Diamonds are forever,"
They explain, suave and couth.
But for this man, honey,
These will not do.
For you are too special,
You sweet thang you.
I got you a gift,
Without taste nor odor,
Better than diamonds
it's a new trollin' motor.

The Darn Good Chocolate Cake was darn good! A big hit with the family --- y'all need to try it (unless you have better luck than I did at gettin' Kris to bring you some!)! ♥♥♥
My maccas aren't big on cake (they like pies, ice cream, and such) but they liked this, even the spoose, who claims not to like chocolate. (Shem says himer likes white chocolate, but I tell him there's no such thing...)
The cake is easy to make and it is DARN GOOD! THANKS FOR THE RECIPE, KRIS!!! ♥♥♥
