There's always GasTown in SF I Guess...
They usually have lots of religious paraphenalia on the counters... Surely they don't have biker babe porn too!
We'll have to send someone out to investigate that....
Whoever goes needs to give it a good SNIFF too!

Kris I have to agree with you. I have not bought Exxon gas since the Valdez which was at least 20 maybe 30 years ago. I wrote Ford several months ago about the piece of junk I had with their name on it and told them that not only would I never buy another Ford product I would never buy another American product. Drive a company car Suburu thank you very much. Look what happened to Ford this week. I feel like if enough of us stop buying even the mega stores get hurt. I am also rabid on the subject of customer service and have driven or walked off from places where the service is bad.
Lacka I missed the begining of your story somewhere, di you give the name of the store putting their mags at eye level for the kids? When we owned the drugstore in Summerfield many years ago we had a parent come to us with the same complaint and we just put the mags behind the counter. Most owners recognize that a $5.00 magazine is not worth losing customers over or you would think they would.

Kris, a coupon, I do not shop until I can double or triple the coupon!!!! I am the queen of saving money. My brother came over once when I was a single mom and I had the entire bar, and the floor beneath covered with groceries. He said, "what do you need all the groceries for (me and the two little Lackas) and I said I only paid 7.41 for all of the groceries. I had mystery shopped all of the Harris Teeters in town, double or tripled coupons and did the buy one get one free. When you have to you can find ways to save that money. I still do it and don't really have to anymore, but it is fun.
I think that there are people out there who may not be observant. They might be going into these stores with their little ones. We don't really notice the magazines because we are tall. I want to point out to people, that they are there. I imagine kids saying "mom while you are shopping for groceries, I will be looking at the magazines" mom thinking they are looking at Better Homes and Gardens they are actually looking at Hot Babes on the Tops of Cars. Just bugs me. I do not shop the 220 store, and they will not get my money unless I have to buy a sprite or something so that I can get to the counter to do my PI work.

The store is across from your old drugstore I think Jane... Across from the SF Dr's office...

| The gas station? I think the guy in there rents that store and it maybe is owned by Phillip 66. hey might be more receptive to your complaint then the person in the store. Not sure about my facts but worth a try. I hardly ever go in there and only to buy a diet coke from the fountain. I am majorly addicted to fountain diet cokes but now the Subway has better ones so I go there. I also am very particular about the cup my diet soda comes in and subway has better cups.

I actually have a special recipe I use when I go to the fountain!!! And you are right.. the phillips 66 has crappy cups... Lids won't stay on....

Lacka... Scuba Jane might just be onto something there... If you contacted Phillips 66 corporate, they might put the needed pressure on this guy to move the mags to another location... Whether or not he rents from them. I wouldn't think P66 wants the bad publicity....
You could spin them one of your YARNS about all of us not buying gas there or something....
