Does that mean that Summerfield also needs to change its charter? There are 10 candidates for the 3 seats over there.

Does it mean Oak Ridge needs to change its charter to require more candidates to run than there are positions to fill?

I've been wondering who the new anonymouse Super Moderator was since Adkins quit or got booted, it appears Jim just gave himself away.   Forgot to log in as the SM though.

I guess I thought this topic thread was posted to discuss the Stokesdale town council elections and not those of the other NW communities?

If you wish to post your questions to the other two communities topic threads, respondents can discuss the individual needs and their thinking for charter amendments there.

I don't think that most Stokesdale residents and citizens are especially desirous of trying to copy or emulate Summerfield or Oak Ridge or their brand of politics.

Of course, I could be wrong, but if so, the voters over here will be sure to let us all know.

I understand that this is the S'dale TC thread, and that I could pose/post my questions elsewhere, but I guess I was trying to make the point that you always seem to paint Stokesdale as being backwards or crooked or wrong, and I was wanting to show that we aren't the only ones doing what we're doing.

As a point of clarification....

I agreed to relinquish the Super Moderator role after a discussion with several folks whose opinions I highly value.  We were all sitting around the same table, all looked at what is best for the forum as we move forward, and all agreed it was best that the SM role be assigned to un-named person(s), and that I not be one of them. Was a good business decision.

Replacement(s) are now trained & very capable in the role.  I pity them having to do "spammer patrol", as this software is woe-fully under-designed to prevent the porn-like names that appear multiple times daily.

I am much happier released from the SM responsibility.  Guess you can say that some very smart folks recommended I boot myself, and I agreed.  :D

Have Cook & Simpson participated in the community in anyway?

Steve, Thanks for asking. Someone else will likely need to respond, though. While these folks may be involved in other civic activities in town, I am not aware of what they are. I know that both have lived in Stokesdale all/most of their lives but I know little else. Someone did point out to me that Simpson participated in the most recent Veterans' Day ceremony.
