Starctchr, I agree, Green Valley Grill is for a "night out" due to the prices. But I was mostly using them as an inspirational example. If we can't get a privately owned place and another chain was to go in, I would like Bear Rock Cafe or Sweet Tomatoes. They have plenty of good fresh food that doesn't scare me like the chains do and provides a lighter option to what we currently have.

Friendly Ave. Across from Guilford College. They started out in the building where Boston Market is and then moved a half a block west several years ago. Chris has been in business since 1988 I think. Great soup and sandwiches.

TCat, what's Sweet Tomatoes? I'm not familiar with it.

Hey, I've never eaten at a place like that. I wasn't the one that suggested it. I just know how to use the internet. haha.... My wife likes sweet tomatoes though.
