I'll be heading to Raleigh in a few days, so thanks for the recommendation. I'll go to the Village Draft house now... Can't wait to try it, I love to go to new places!

Oh and Jim, I read the last page first and missed your post- glad you liked it. I absolutely cannot go anywhere near Raleigh without eating there.
yeah the prices aren't bad and they do great variety of foods to choose from. -I always have to get a burger though.

I have several
1. a decent brew pub like natty greene's
2. an indian place, i needs my curry!
3. a nice, quiet, evening dining place. Elizabeth's and Rio are good restaurants but loud on any given night.

I think a Cracker Barrell would be great in OR. I heard someone say that they only build Cracker Barrell along side of interstates tho.

I would love to see a Cracker Barrel in town. (Lord knows that I don't really need that, though. I'd be broke and fat in a week. All those biscuits, you know.)
I'd love to see a Chic-fil-a opened up somewhere nearby, as well.

They do have the best biscuits. I get the old timers when I eat there LOL. You can't go wrong with a Chic-fil-a. Their Cookies & Cream milkshakes are the BEST! Gosh I love food

And the service at Chic-fil-a is always so good. Just an all-around nice place to eat, really.

BreBre and Queue! How could you mention the Cracker Barrel and NOT mention the hash brown casserole????
I'm sure it was just an oversight.

I can't believe I forgot that. I LOVE the casserole! I think I will just get a plate of that and a bowl of grits next time. Yummy!

How about something other than another chain restaurant? Something a bit nicer that has good quality food and a unique menu. Something you can't find in about 15 other places around town and that you can't find in every town across America serving the same boring super sized, high fat, low quality food?
We need to more imaginative in our dining-out choices and support local businesses who buy local ingredients rather than having pre-prepared frozen food trucked in.
It breaks my heart to see the line in the new drive through every day. I'd rather drive 10 miles than go there. Green Valley Grill is a great example.

TCat, you read my mind. We have been brain-washed by and addicted to fast food chains. I'm the first to admit that fried food is my downfall. Love the taste, hate the guilt. Can't give up my bacon, though. Green Valley Grill is a favorite, although is it a little pricey for a family? I'm not sure of the price range. A restaurant that offers a good sandwich sans fries or chips, fresh salads, as well as full dinners would be nice. And, maybe the prices could be affordable for all if the portions were not designed for two!
