My feeling is, obviously we need to wait for due process. But in truth you don't get federal Grand Jury indictment for nothing.

If he is found guilty we should work on creating a live forever potion so that he can stay in jail  forever and rot.

For those of you who don't know this case, he is accused of:

As of July 21, 2007, Vick and three other men were facing federal charges involving an interstate dog fighting venture called "Bad Newz Kennels" based at his 15-acre estate valued at over $700,000 in a rural area of southeastern Virginia, which authorities contend was purchased and developed specifically for the criminal enterprise. They each face felony and misdemeanor charges, under which convictions carry penalties of prison terms of up to six years and fines of $350,000, and forfeiture of proceeds and property involved. An arraignment and detention hearing is scheduled for July 26 in Richmond.

In this case it states that they (sometimes him only) executed 8 dogs that didn't "make it" in the training sessions, sometimes as cruelly as repeatedly slamming the dog to the ground until it died.

If you can do this kind of thing to an animal, then it is only a matter of a slight shift in your perception to do the same to human life. People like this should be punished for this crime by itself, but even if you don't think so, or you think it isn't a big deal then you should look to the idea that every single Serial Killer in the last 40 years had a history of cruelty to animals prior to taking human life . This crime he is accused of is the basis for criminal behavior that has to be stopped at the source.

I'm sitting here in my recliner, my faithful cocker spaniel at my side, just cannot fathom why people would use man's best friend in such a repulsive way.

Overall, I'm not a fan of anyone who abuses animals.  If Vick is found guilty, I hope the reaction from his fans & principals hits where it counts.

if Michael Vick is found guilty how in the world can the NFL continue to support him as an example we want our children to see and follow? While I am not a football fan I don think the NFL works hard in maintaining their image of family friendly.

I can not imagine the cruelty that the fighting dogs suffer and for what reason because they love us. All of the dogs confiscated will have to be put to sleep and for what reason? For the pleasure of some humans. How awful!!!

Pappy's got no words to express my revulsion at the sickness an' barbarity of it all. I think you're right, Stonefree, about the people who do this not bein' that far from goin' after people next.
