Good morning, Kris!! Boy, I thought I was up early!

Just wanted to share some info with you "Idol" fans. I took my youngest son for his first checkup with the orthodontist yesterday. (Is it just me or are they doing this earlier and earlier? Fortunately, they just did x-rays and didn't recommend anything at this time -- whew!) Anyway, his office is in High Point, and they have pictures of current patients all along the wall with their braces on. Along the top, they have pics of former patients after braces have come off. They have their names with them and I noticed that a very pretty girl (there were actually 2 pictures of her, one maybe from some kind of publication) and her last name was Carty. I asked if she was related to the guy on "Survivor," (I don't watch it but at least I know about him -- I don't live under a rock:shock:).

She said it was and then told me she went to their home last week and HE WAS THERE!!! I assumed that meant he'd been booted off, but she said that the show is all taped ahead of time until the final couple of shows. She also said that the final two know they are the final two, but then it's all revealed live.....

Oh, I'll look for you on Saturday, Kris! I guess the band is still doing the food for the Odyssey of the Mind tournament? Our team performs in the auditorium at 12:40, but we'll be there all day. They are all so excited!! Fourth graders -- Of course, it's all fun and games to them and the adults are the ones stressing about "one more thing" and making sure we're all ready for the big day!!

GOOD MORNIN ALL!!!!!

Thanks Macca for the parteee!  You're creepin' up on a grand yourself!

Kris... It's ok if you don't clean today.  Makes me feel like I'm at home anyway.

Pappy... sorry your $$check hasn't come yet.. I can just see you sittin' in that truck!!!  Haulin wood for mammy an' such.....

IMPORTANT PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

Vicki... First of all, Please tell me your ortho is NOT Clifton Ball.  If ANYONE GOES TO HIM, Just ask me how much of my money he stole.....  Ok I'll tell ya anyway.... One day we just got a letter in the mail saying that he was closing his practice. Sorry. That's it, He was sorry.... He did not make any effort to reimburse us either.  STOLE my 5 grand. Husband staked out his house (Ok... that was scary  )and confronted him and all the man said was "sorry". Thought I was gonna be hauling the little crackers to the state pen to see my babies' daddy after that visit, but he contained himself....

Went thru the dental board and all that and they did NOTHING! Considered a class action suit with all the other patients he stole from.  You have no recourse if that happens to you.

I hear he is practicing again.  BEWARE!!!

Triscuit had just started treatment so we had to find another Ortho. Ended up with James Kayley who was SOOO WONDERFUL and he even agreed to sign a "Dead Doctor Letter" (His name for it, not ours) stating that we would be covered by another ortho if he died or closed up shop. He even did some of the preliminary patient set up stuff for us for free cause we couldn't even get our records from that Jerk Ball.

Ask for your "dead doctor letter" before you pay up front.
