Thanks, Jim. Having moved back here to Carolina some years ago after many years in the DC area, I must say I like the pace of life and the friendliness of the people here. It seems to me that having and being good neighbors brings out the best in us. Random Acts of Kindness were few and far between "up there" but here they are, nicely, more commonplace.

Pappy'll second that welcome, Aberystwyth!
So do you pronounce it Aberystwyth or Aberystwyth? Hee hee.
There's lots o' good people around in these parts. Pappy's had so many random acts o' kindness done to him I could never begin to remember 'em all.

Thanks Cracker Jax and Pappy.
Actually, it’s pronounced Aberystwyth, which means Mouth of the River Ystwyth. It’s a town on the west coast of Wales and home to the University of Wales, one of my favorite places.
By the way, a year ago I experienced the greatest non-random act of kindness. Volunteer firemen from the Bethany Station saved my life. The folks from Stokesdale couldn’t get there as fast, so the folks from Bethany ignored the “boundaries” and got to me before I bled to death from a serious accident in the woods.

I dunno.... I find YSTWYTH even more difficult to pronounce than Aberystwith.....
Those folks in Bethany are good people. My kids used to play soccer up there and we really enjoyed the folks we got to know through their rec association.
