Summerfield Community Park
and Phase 2

Friends for Summerfield supports the council's decision to complete Phase 2 of Summerfield Community Park. We believe parks make a vital contribution to our community's quality of life.

PHASE 2 FAST FACTS
Phase 2 includes:
• more walking trails (paved and unpaved)
• picnic shelters
• boardwalk with overlook area
• a second playground
• a second restroom
• outdoor community events center or amphitheater

Phase 2 estimated costs:
• $734,000 — estimated construction cost of trails, picnic shelters, boardwalk/overlook, playground, and restroom
• $250,000 — estimated construction cost of amphitheater
• $984,000 — sub-total of phase 2 construction before matching grant

$492,000TOTAL COST TO TOWN of entire phase 2 construction (including the amphitheater) after $492,000 matching grant offset

Phase 2 amphitheater plans:
The amphitheater will consist of a grassy terraced area with seating for up to 500 people on stone seating walls or lawn chairs, a small outdoor stage with low level lighting, and concrete walks and ramps.
